<p class="has-medium-font-size">This article is a restaurant review of Mayiopoula Wine And Dine restaurant in Nicosia, Cyprus. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Is Mayiopoula worth its hype, and price tag? Does it deserve a place in the shortlist of Nicosia&#8217;s fine dining restaurants? </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Keep reading to find out! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Located in the heart of the capital, Mayiopoula &#8211; Wine &amp; Dine is ideal for both business lunches and leisurely dinners. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Naturally, I was excited to visit for lunch and give you my honest review below! </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The interior </h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Mayiopoula has been given a new menu and a beautiful new identity &#8211; that is both cozy, and elegant. It exhumes class, without it feeling over the top or pretentious. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="628" height="628" data-id="9081" src="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/133028296_1916157855190273_4268223271057027087_n.jpg?resize=628%2C628&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-9081" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/133028296_1916157855190273_4268223271057027087_n.jpg?w=628&amp;ssl=1 628w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/133028296_1916157855190273_4268223271057027087_n.jpg?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/133028296_1916157855190273_4268223271057027087_n.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/133028296_1916157855190273_4268223271057027087_n.jpg?resize=585%2C585&amp;ssl=1 585w" sizes="(max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px" /></figure>
</figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Outdoor seating </h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">It was a particularly windy and cold day when I visited Mayiopoula. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">So imagine my surprise when we were seated outside and I felt as comfortable as ever! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">I immediately took off my coat and sat comfortably for a total of 3 hours without ever feeling cold. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Clearly, This restaurant has &#8211; hands down &#8211; the best insulation I&#8217;ve ever seen on the island. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The decor is discreetly luxurious, with the same understated, classy feel that you witness throughout the restaurant. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" width="628" height="628" data-id="9080" src="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/168209599_1997868677019190_8593431401263383930_n.jpg?resize=628%2C628&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-9080" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/168209599_1997868677019190_8593431401263383930_n.jpg?w=628&amp;ssl=1 628w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/168209599_1997868677019190_8593431401263383930_n.jpg?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/168209599_1997868677019190_8593431401263383930_n.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/168209599_1997868677019190_8593431401263383930_n.jpg?resize=585%2C585&amp;ssl=1 585w" sizes="(max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px" /></figure>
</figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mayiopoula Menu </h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The lunch menu is beautifully simple, although it doesn&#8217;t leave too many options for people who don&#8217;t like fish and seafood, and almost none for vegans. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Vegans can choose to have the baked cauliflower, and the truffle and mushroom tagliatelle &#8211; if they can make it without the parmesan cream. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Personally, I would have liked the addition of a fillet or rib-eye steak (which is available at dinner) and a duck or pork plate too. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Having said that, I have seen their dinner menu and it is more varied! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Rating 4/5 </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" width="628" height="837" src="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00018.jpg?resize=628%2C837&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-9082" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00018.jpg?w=628&amp;ssl=1 628w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00018.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00018.jpg?resize=585%2C780&amp;ssl=1 585w" sizes="(max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mayiopoula Star Dishes </h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Starter &#8211; Burrata Salad </h3>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Fresh burrata cheese, plum cherry tomatoes, rusk bread, basil, chives, sherry vinaigrette make a truly stunning dish, and definitely the highlight of our lunch! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The Impossibly creamy burrata, the perfectly seasoned tomatoes&#8230; there were explosions going on in my mouth! Absolute perfection to say the least. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">This is a dish I will be ordering again, and again! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">5/5 &#8211; with an exclamation point! </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="837" height="628" src="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00015.jpg?resize=837%2C628&#038;ssl=1" alt="burrata and cherry tomato salad at Mayiopoula, Cyprus" class="wp-image-9083" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00015.jpg?w=837&amp;ssl=1 837w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00015.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00015.jpg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00015.jpg?resize=585%2C439&amp;ssl=1 585w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 837px) 100vw, 837px" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Mains: Grilled Prawns Orzo </h3>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">This was in the specials menu, although it has a permanent spot on their dinner menu.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size"> It is cooked with Greek kakavia sauce, grilled tiger prawns, cherry tomato, parsley, basil, and lemon zest. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The dish was actually excellent, with the prawns being cooked to buttery perfection, and the orzo not too thick and beautifully supplemented by the ripe cherry tomatoes! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">A dish that isn&#8217;t heavy on the stomach either so an easy choice all around. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Price: 29 euros </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Rating: 4.9.5. I&#8217;m taking away at 5/5 rating I wanted to give because I wasn&#8217;t able to remove the onion from the tomato sauce.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size"> I have IBS so onions are something I avoid, but I was set on the dish and chose to order it anyway regardless! </p>

</figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Main Dish: Grilled Chicken and Wild Rice </h3>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Grilled and marinated with herbs, lemon and lemon zest served with basmati wild rice &amp; seasonal vegetables. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">At first, It looked bland and maybe overcooked a bit. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">But it was actually beautifully cooked and seasoned! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">A perfect calorie-controlled dish too, so it&#8217;s a yes from me!  </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Price 17 euros </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Rating 4.9/5</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="628" height="787" src="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00008.jpg?resize=628%2C787&#038;ssl=1" alt="chicken and wild rice dish at Mayiopoula, Nicosia" class="wp-image-9086" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00008.jpg?w=628&amp;ssl=1 628w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00008.jpg?resize=239%2C300&amp;ssl=1 239w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00008.jpg?resize=585%2C733&amp;ssl=1 585w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Desert &#8211; Lemon Baked Alaska </h3>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The choices for deserts on our lunch were Baked Alaska and the Apple Tart tannin. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The dinner menu includes more mouthwatering options like baked chocolate souffle and homemade ice cream and sorbet! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>The Lemon baked Alaska was quite possibly the best dessert I have had &#8211; in years. </strong></p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">It is a Lemon tart ice cream, almond crumble and lemon zest meringue served with berry sauce and fresh seasonal berries, and it is truly spectacular. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The smooth meringue marries beautifully with the crunchy crumble, and each spoonful provides a burst of tangy lemon and sweet berries. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Extra points for the plating, which as you can see, is a masterpiece!</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Price: 7.5 Euros </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Rating 5/5</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="628" height="837" src="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00002.jpg?resize=628%2C837&#038;ssl=1" alt="The lemon baked alaska desert at Mayiopoula, Nicosia" class="wp-image-9087" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00002.jpg?w=628&amp;ssl=1 628w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00002.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w, https://i0.wp.com/www.tiadoestravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/image00002.jpg?resize=585%2C780&amp;ssl=1 585w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mayiopoula Restaurant &#8211; The Service</h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The service was excellent, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The only thing I would say is that we waited about 30 mins in between our starters to the mains, which is a rather long time to wait. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Having said that, I didn&#8217;t particularly mind, as I was warm and cozy, had a glass of wine in my hand, and didn&#8217;t have anywhere to be. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Rating: 5/5 </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mayiopoula Review &#8211; The Verdict</h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">So is Mayiopoula Wine &amp; Dine worth its hype and slightly elevated price tag? Absolutely, YES! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">In fact, I personally find that it ranks pretty high on my list of fab Cypriot gastronomy, and provides a truly enjoyable dining and tasting experience! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The chef, Andreas Andreou has clearly poured his heart and soul into the menu of Mayiopoula, and the results are evident for all of us to see and enjoy! </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">So if you are in Nicosia and you wish to impress, look no further than Mayiopoula, and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. </p>
