After all, a picture is worth a thousand words, and while we bloggers want to give you every bit of information we can, it is sometimes nice to let the lens do the talking!

Why is Istanbul so photogenic?

There is beautiful architecture everywhere, clear signs of the Greeks and Ottomans. There is a certain flair in the air, an eclecticism. 

You will see colors; so many colors! Food markets bursting at the seams with colorful produce and spice racks overflowing with Istanbul’s finest herbs and spices.

Strolling through the city you will witness street art, majestic churches like Haya Sofia and mosques, and urban shopping streets.

Istanbul manages to marry the old and the new in a fascinating, vibrant package, one you can’t help but fall in love with.

Istanbul Photography – The Majestic Hagia Sophia

What is there to say about the INCREDIBLE Hagia Sophia?

Also known as the Church of the Holy Wisdom or Church of the Divine Wisdom, we are talking about an important Byzantine structure and one of the world’s great monuments.

It was built as a Christian church in the 6th century CE (532–537) under the direction of the Byzantine emperor Justinian I.

After the fall of Costantinople ( the real name of Istanbul) to the Turks in 1453, it was turned into a mosque and in 1935 into a museum.

Then in 1985 the Hagia Sophia was designated a component of a UNESCO World Heritage site called the Historic Areas of Istanbul

In 2020 though, President Erdogan made the controversial decision to convert the Hagia Sophia back into a mosque. It makes me wonder, where was UNESCO then?

Who could have the audacity to convert one of the most celebrated and influential monuments of Christianity into a mosque? And actually get away with it?

As you can probably tell, it is a bitter subject for us Greeks and Cypriots.

Bear in mind that the Blue Mosque is built directly opposite Hagia Sophia. Until the completion of Blue Mosque in 1616 the Hagia Sophia was the main mosque in the city. Its architecture directly inspired builders of the Blue Mosque and several others around the world.

The Beautiful Blue Mosque

The Blue Mosque, also known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, is an Ottoman-era historical imperial mosque.

It is very much a functioning mosque, whilst also attracting a lot of tourists.

It was constructed between 1609 and 1616 during the rule of Ahmed I, and it is built opposite the majestic ( and VERY Greek) Hagia Sofia.

Istanbul is known for its traditional rugs and textiles. Turkish rugs are made from only the most high-quality materials. Hand-spun wool and silk are the most valuable but you can also find cotton or wool-cotton combinations.

The ferry also transports you from the European side, to the Asian side, so you can combine a beautiful cruise, with the crossing between 2 continents!

Istanbul has been the capital of some of the biggest empires: Roman, Byzantine, Latin, and Ottoman.

Istanbul is one of the few cities in the world to be shared by two continents.

Five of the most well-known transcontinental cities are Istanbul, Atyrau, Orenburg, Magnitogorsk, and Suez.

What should I avoid in Istanbul?

Well for starters, you should avoid getting scammed! Istanbul is notorious for scamming tourists. But fear not as I have an article full of the Istanbul scams you should know about!

Other tips would be:

• Avoid Shopping at Istiklal street – It is rather expensive and doesn’t offer anything unique
• Don’t take the tram in Istiklal street – It is so crowded!
• Never pay full price for anything at the Bazaars

How can I have fun in Istanbul?

There are so many fun things to do in Istanbul! Apart from world-famous monuments and exquisite cuisine, there are historic cruises, and shopping sprees at the Grand Bazaar too!

Additionally, there is fascinating history and architecture, buzzing nightlife, street art, and amazing workshops.

Istanbul indeed has a lot more to offer.

My guide to the most unusual things to do in Istanbul is a journey through Istanbul’s off-the-beaten-path side!

It’s a taste of the local side, which in my opinion holds the real juice and flavor of this incredible multicultural city.

When you start experiencing travel off the beaten path, the whole travel game changes!

The 13 Most Unusual things to do in Istanbul

1. Take a boat trip to the Princes Islands and the lesser-known Burgazada Island

Take a day trip away from the busy city to explore the beautiful Princes Islands – an archipelago of 9 islands located in the Sea of Marmara.

The prince’s islands are easily accessible via ferry, and they are home to many multicultural beauties. Some of those are the Greek monasteries and Ottoman architecture.

Burgazada is one of the lesser-known islands (the biggest one is the island of Buyukada) and so it is a perfect island for some much-needed beach time. The water is calm and clear and the island is calm and secluded.

I advise you to spend the day there and soak up the sun! Then, you should start exploring the island!

You will find lush greenery, many historical churches such as the Ayios Ioannis church (dating back to the Byzantine period), and also the ruins of the Greek Christos Monastery from the 9th century.

At the top of the hill, Bayrak Hill is the place to go for beautiful panoramic views. All these and more await you to explore the island of Burgazada.

2. Photograph exquisite Urban street art

These urban and colorful graffiti masterpieces will be a joy to explore and photograph.

You will find Graffiti street art all over this colorful city but is even more evident in a neighborhood like Sishane.  

You should make sure to bring a camera, so you take plenty of photographs of these 3D and larger-than-life pieces!

Plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants in the neighborhood to relax after spending a couple of hours exploring!

Definitely, a must if you wish to explore unusual things to do in Istanbul!

3. Visit the railway museum from the Orient Express

Are you a fan of trains and railways? Then you will surely enjoy this short and sweet experience at the railway museum.

This small museum features over 300 historical items, from old trains and various separate parts like seats, doors, etc, and long-forgotten documents and photographs.  

The museum is located in Sirkeci Terminal, the terminal that used to be the end of the famed Orient Express!

Interesting fact: This tiny museum exists within a fully operational train station, in the heart of Istanbul!

4. Witness a traditional religious ceremony

 If you wish to explore traditional and unusual things to do in Istanbul, the Whirling Devices are a must!

No matter your religion, opening your eyes to other cultures, customs and religions will be an eye-opening and soul-searching experience.

This is a century-old ceremony that marries dance and Sufi worshiping.

This is not a tourist performance, but luckily for us, the ‘’Whirling Devices’’ dance is performed within the Sema of the Galata museum.

And every Sunday at 5 pm, tourists are allowed to observe.

My advice? Remain quiet, respectful, and simply enjoy this mystical whirling dance!

5. Indulge in a culinary journey through Ottoman History at Asitane Restaurant

You’ll find plenty of restaurants in Istanbul, and plenty of tourist traps too.

What frustrates me the most, is experiencing second-rate cuisine; especially in a city famed for its dishes!

So if you are looking for authenticity as well as unusual things to do in Istanbul, you need to visit the Asitane Restaurant.

Asitane is a restaurant fully committed to keeping up with the traditions – something that hasn’t changed since 1991.

So much so, that before their opening, they spend months digging up traditional and long-forgotten recipes from Topkapi and the Dolmabace Palaces! They also drew inspiration from libraries and journals from over 500 years ago.  

What it’s like eating here

Expect to travel through time in Ottoman culinary history! The menu is vast – there are over 450 recipes!

All of them keeping up with the traditional tastes, ingredients, and preparation methods of their time.

Choose between the indoor and outdoor seating in the quiet part of the historical Edirnekapi, and you will adore all that Asitane stands for.

6. Awaken your senses at a couples-friendly Turkish Hamam

Everyone should definitely visit one or two in their lifetime.

 But visiting an authentic Hamam in Turkey – the birth country of Turkish baths is an absolute necessity if you want an authentic experience!

I searched long and hard for Hamams in the city that could provide couples services – as the majority have different hours for men and women and couples are not accepted. And I found it!  

My Hamam Experience

My experience at the Süleymaniye Hamam was everything I had hoped for, and then some.

The journey started with a long and very steaming time in the huge marbled room for 15-20 minutes.

Then, 2 well-trained male masseurs greeted us and took us into the steaming adjoining room.

They proceeded to give us a long soapy wash, followed by an invigorating and inventive scrub.

They finished with a relaxing, soapy massage that made me feel like my limbs were as light as feathers!  

Definitely, one of the best Hamam experiences I have had in all my travels.  

No single males or females are admitted – this is a couple and families Hamam only.

Süleymaniye Hamam Details

The Hamam provides everything you will need: from towels to bathing suits, hairdryers, and slippers!  

You can combine your Hammam experience with a visit to the Grand Bazaar (they are close to each other)  

Payment can be made online or on the spot. The establishment accepts Turkish Lira, Euros, and Dollars too!

I personally booked and paid online with great success. Booking in advance is definitely recommended.

Duration: 60-90 minutes and it is open 7 days a week

7. Descent 52 steps into History- and the depths of the Basilica Cistern

Beneath the city of Istanbul, there are several hundred cisterns, but only two are open to the public.

The Basilica Cistern is one of those two and it also happens to be the largest one. This giant structure has the capacity to store 100.000 tons of water.

Only a 150meters from the famous Hagia Sofia, this Bystantine Cistern dates back to the 9th century!  

Here you can take the 52 stone steps to descend into the cold, and slightly dark depths of the Basilica.

You will be amazed by the famous Medusa column bases and the Corinthian Style marbles. The marbles are what actually support the Cisterns roof and the majestic forest of columns.

All this is a clear indication of Istanbul’s Greek roots (Konstantinoupoli).

Definitely one for your bucket list of unusual things to do in Istanbul.

8. Take a workshop and learn the Art of Turkish Marbling

The history of Turkish marbling

The Turkish art of marbling is called Ebru and it is believed to have started in the 13th century.

Turkish marbling started in Turkey and later on spread to Japan, China, and India.

What is ebru you ask?

Ebru is basically colorful patterns of pigmented color in a tray of an oily water solution. The design is then transferred onto paper and fabric.

This traditional Turkish art is definitely a great way to spend a day and explore some of the unusual things to do in Istanbul.

The Workshop

In the fascinating workshop of Les Arts Turks, you can learn to create your own marble designs including the famous Turkish flower patterns.

These unique print designs are used as covers for various things like calligraphy, stationery, book covers, documents, and official correspondence.

How you will learn to marble

 Upon entering the lively workshop, I was given a verbal introduction to the rich Turkish marbling history.

Then, I was handed a bright apron and all the equipment that I needed to get my creativity going.

Side by side with your teacher you will learn to apply the delicate art of marbling.

Once you have finished your masterpiece, it will be transferred to fabric and you will be able to take this wonderful homemade souvenir back home with you.

9. Explore two continents in one day –and Istanbul’s Asian Side

This list of unusual things to do in the Istanbul guide would be incomplete without a mention! The 2 continents are only 20 minutes distance from each other via bus, taxi or ferry.  

The European side has the better name due to its many popular tourist attractions, palaces, churches, and cisterns.

What you don’t know is that there is also much to see on the Asian Side of Istanbul too.

Like the historical Kadikoy Bazzar, the Dolmabahce Palace, and the Mural Istanbul Festival.  

Must-dos on the Asian side of Istanbul

Take a ferry and Cross over to the Asian Side. Then head to the Kadikoy neighborhood and start walking the streets!

I recommend you check out the Kadikoy food market, the waterfront with the fantastic views of the Sultanahmet Skyline, and the Mural Festival too!

The Mural Festival is an open-air art festival bursting at the seams with stunning street art from both local and international artists.  

Top Tip: The Ferry to Kadikoy will cost you 3 TL. Ferries leave from either side of the Galata Bridge.    

10. Learn the art of cooking Turkish food

The only thing better than eating the food in Istanbul is perhaps learning how to cook it yourself!

This is because the food in Istanbul is as diverse as the city! Think of Turkish cuisine, with added Greek and Asian Influences.

The cuisine here is heavy on the spice and big on the taste.

This cooking class is such a fun way to spend ½ a day in the city – and every time you cook these dishes back home, you will be reminded of Istanbul!

A definite YES to anyone wanting to try out unusual things to do in Istanbul!

 This cooking class of Cooking Alaturka will teach you how to make traditional Ottoman and Anatolian dishes! As a result, once you are done with cooking, you’ll enjoy the 5- course food with drinks and conversation!

11. Visit the Rezan Has Museum

  This is no ordinary museum! This is because the Rezan Has Museum is dedicated to connecting the past with the future.

The Rezan showcases Ottoman structural artifacts dating back to the 17th century, and Byzantine gems going as far back as the 11th century.  

As a result, you will see a  rich collection of archaeological artifacts, and a special preservation and restoration unit. At the Rezan Has, there are also regular exhibitions.

For example, a particularly interesting exhibition I found was the Cibali Tobacco and Cigarette Factory exhibition.

I got to observe the first tobacco and cigarette machines along with their original documents and information!

All those make this museum a real gem in the busy city life of Istanbul.

12. Explore the Ahmed Tevfik Pasa Mezarl Tombs.

Would you like to add a sultans Cemetary to your unusual things to do in Istanbul list? Well, now you can.

It is in this cemetery that you will find the tombs of Ahmed Tevfik Pasha and his family. Ahmed Pasha is also known as the last Ottoman Grand Vizier, and he was an important figure in the Ottoman Dynasty for years.

The tombs are the cemetery for 3 famed and powerful Sultans; Mahmud the 2nd, Abdul Aziz and Abdul Hamid the 2nd.

Inside the cemetery, you will find the sultan’s tombs in all their colorful and intricate glory.

Walk back outside and you will find yourselves in the gardens surrounded by trees and cute cats! This is where the politicians like Ahmed Tevkik and their families are kept.

This cemetery is a wonderful visit to see many of Istanbul’s most influential figures’ tombs.

It is also a rather fascinating way to witness how the Turks like to honor their dead.

13. Stroll through the Kadikoy Food Market

Kadikoy has a few markets around – but the Kadikoy Tuesday Market is the one that is definitely worthy of the trip.  

Possibly the neatest food and thrift market in Istanbul!

It has everything, from textiles to curtains and household items, antiques, furniture, and beautiful books. Alongside, there are nuts, rare Anatolian herbs, and spices!

There are also dairy goods and pastries, vine leaves olives, fruit, and vegetables…all neatly stacked and presented for your pleasure.  

Gift Tips: Vine leaves and pickles are some of the key representatives of Ottoman cuisine.

Not only do they represent the local culture, but they are also light too which makes them excellent gift ideas to take home!

Is this a local or tourist market?

In this market, you really become one with the locals that make the majority of the visitors.

Begin by taking a leisurely stroll on the huge market. Then grab some freshly baked goods or a delicious lachmagoon from one of the many bakeries.

Observe, watch and become familiar with the bursting colors and smells of the Kadikoy Tuesday Market.

History Of Istanbul

Istanbul, or Costantinoupoli, is Turkey’s largest city and the heart of its economic and cultural center. It is one of the largest cities in the world with a population of over 14 million.

Istanbul is situated on a peninsula at the entrance of the Black Sea. Not only is Istanbul Turkey’s largest city; it also stretches on either side of the Bosporus, making it one of the only cities in the world that is built on two continents; Europe and Asia.

The city, formerly known as Constantinople is built on the site of the ancient Greek city ​​of Byzantium. The emperor Alexander the Great made the city the seat of the Eastern Roman Empire in 330, later naming it Constantinople.

In 1453 it was captured by the Ottoman Empire and made into the Ottoman capital. Then in 1923, the Republic of Turkey was founded, and so the capital moved to Ankara.

This resulted in Constantinople being officially renamed Istanbul in 1930.

  Rome is a modern-day city and also an archaeological dig that’s dating back to more than 2,800 years. A city so full of influential art, architecture, and history it practically screams.

The home of the ancient ruins of the Colosseum, the Vatican City in all its Catholic Faith glory, and timeless masterpieces like Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel.  

The city begs you to walk its every historic corner, uncover its every alley and explore its every taste. So without further ado, let’s discover Rome together – falling in love with it, is inevitable!  

 Rome Itinerary for 3 days: 

3days in Rome – Day 1 In Rome :  

Vatican City

Visiting the Vatican is an absolute must.

No 3days in Rome would be complete without a visit to this entirely independent city-state surrounded by Rome!  The Vatican City is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church and the home to the Pope; the symbol of the Catholic Faith.

it is also home to iconic art, one-of-a-kind masterpieces, and architecture. The Vatican Museum houses ancient Roman sculptures known around the world such as the Sistine Chapel, the famed Michaelangelo’s ceiling, the incredible “Laocoön and His Sons” and various Renaissance frescoes.

  2. St Peter’s Basilica

St Peter’s Basilica is the papal enclave within the walls of Rome, the largest church in the world and one of the most spectacular pieces of Renaissance architecture. The Basilica was completed in 1626 and is the burial site of Saint Peter.

It is a part of Vatican City and considered by many as the holiest church in the world. Even if you are not spiritual, the architecture alone will be enough to leave you breathless.

  Castel St’Angelo

Located only a short distance from the Vatican City, lies Castel Sant’Angelo. This fortress has been standing since year 135 and is split into 5 floors connected by a spiral ramp.

Here you can visit the champer of ashes- where a number of Italy’s historical figures are kept, the rooms designed for the Pope’s residence, the cells where many known figures were incarcerated, and exquisite artwork from the Renaissance period. 

In the upper floor there is a large terrace where you can take amazing photographs of the city from above, and fantastic views of St Peter’s Basilica and all of Vatican City.

Brunch luxuriously and stay within the Vatican City area – La Veranda is a gorgeous upscale brunch option only a short walk from the Vatican.

Villa Borghese Gardens Park

The Vatican will most likely wipe you out, so you should set time for some rest!

Close to the Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona, you will find the perfect park to have a classical Italian siesta (post-lunch nap) under the trees, or simply to relax in nature. Make time to take a few fantastic pictures, rest, and continue on!

Villa Borghese Gardens is the most popular park in the city and also the third-largest public park in Rome! The other two are  Villa Doria Pamphili and Villa Ada which are also beautiful.

  The Spanish Steps

Built-in 1723 by Francesco De Sanctis, the Spanish steps – or “Scalina Spagna” are a set of over 130 wide irregular steps of curves, terraces, and straight lines giving the steps a butterfly look.

A beautiful place to visit to admire some Baroque style architecture like the baroque fountain – La Fontana Della Barcaccia and views of the eternal City.

The Spanish Steps connect the lower Piazza di Spagna with the upper piazza Trinita Dei Monti, and its beautiful twin tower church.

This is also where the late English poet John Keats – built hid home; now a museum packed with English Romantic Era memorabilia.

  Piazza Navona

Piazza Navona is one of the largest, most visited and most beautiful piazzas in Rome dating all the way back to the 15th century.

It is home to three impressive fountains you will love to explore. First is la Fontana Dei Quattro Fiumi which was constructed in 1651 by Bernini for the pope.

That one is the most photographed fountain in the square exhuming elegance and architectural genius. You can admire its stunning sculptures; a tall Roman obelisk as a centerpiece, the Pope’s coat of arms, a dove, and an olive branch at the base.

The two other fountains are smaller but equally interesting – The Fontana Di Nettuno to the north and the Fontana del Moro to the south with sculptures of dolphins, sea creatures and the like.

Piazza Navona is really bursting with street artists & bars, buzzing nightlife and cosmopolitan energy.

  Authentic Italian Dinner – at Il Mozzicone.

Mozzicone is a family-run restaurant, one that is quite different from La Veranda. You will witness no-frills or elaborate settings, and the food is served in paper plates! But the pasta here is without a doubt one of the best plates of pasta in the City!

Authentic food, authentic prices in a true Italian Eaterie are the perfect way to end your first day in Rome. Il Morzicone is located in Borgo Pio, close to the Vatican Area.

Trevi Fountain -La Fontana Di Trevi

One of my favorite places in Rome, la Fontana Di Trevi is a wonder to behold and an absolute must-see in the city. Could you imagine 3days in Rome without a visit to the most famous fountain in the world? 

Thousands of people visit the fountain every day, not only to admire and photograph the most Famed Baroque fountain in Rome but also to toss a coin or two and make a wish. (toss one coin to return to Rome, 2 for love and 3 if you wish to get married!)

Here are some Trevi Fountain facts.

1. La Fontana Di Trevi was fully restored in 2015 by none other than Fendi – the Iconic fashion house! Fendi reportedly spent over 2million Euros for the full historical restoration making headlines all over the world!  The unveiling of La Fontana Di Trevi happened in November of 2015 and was one of the biggest events in the city.

2. The fountain dates back to 19 B.C and was the oldest water source in Rome.

3. La Fontana Di Trevi is a landmark used in many movies, such as La Dolce Vita, Roman Holiday, Three Coins in the fountain and more.

4. The coins are collected every day (approximately 3-4 thousand Euros) and are given to a local charity which helps the needy buy groceries. It is, therefore, a punishable crime to steal the coins from the fountain.

TIP: If you are early risers, even better. If you can get up and start the day on a high, get up there at 7 am for the best-uninterrupted pictures. The colors surrounding the Trevi Fountain are stunning at that time and there’s hardly anyone about!

Colosseum

Yes, it’s touristy but in all honesty, its a must-do! Even if all you have is 3days in Rome, the Colosseum is a place that must be admired up close. 

Completed in AD 80, The Colosseum is located in the heart of the center of Rome and is the largest amphitheater ever built.

This Elliptical building is Standing tall at 84 meters high and was famously used for gladiatorial battles and public spectacles, wild animal vs people battles and various reenactments.

It is believed that over 50.000 people and a million wild animals lost their lives during the world-famous Roman Battles at the Colosseum,! You will be impressed by its vast size, which can host a whopping 50.000 people!

To make entries and exits run smoothly, they built over 80 entrances and 36 trap doors. The massive arena also features a vast underground structure where the gladiators, prisoners, and animals were held.

  The Roman Forum 

The Roman Forum is located right next to the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. This Vast excavated area of Roman temples, squares & buildings, dates back a whopping 2,000 years.

The Palatine Hill 

The legendary founding site of the Palatine Hill showcases ruins of palaces, baths, and Roman Temples.

It is the oldest part of the Roman City, as it was Inhabited since 1000 BC by the Mighty Roman Emperors. 

The Palatine hill is now a peaceful beautifully green area with wildflowers and vegetation. It is a beautiful space for rest, meditation or picnics with spectacular views of the entire city.

  The mouth of Truth – La Bocca Della Verita

You will find The Mouth Of Truth next to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. This strange Carving is that of a man’s face and its a rather popular attraction due to the myth attached to it.

The myth says, that if a liar inserts his hand into the mouth, the mouth will instantly close shut!

  Choose between Lunch or Aperitivo

  1. Authentic Roman Lunch

At Trastevere Trattoria Da Augusto. Another authentic family-run restaurant, which serves up the best authentic Roman Food like tripe and rabbit! Bookings are not allowed, so be prepared to patiently wait for a table, that you will not regret.

2. Aperitivo by the beach. 

If you wish to escape the city center, try and catch the sunset hours – and enjoy a classic Italian Aperitivo at Singita. Signita is located by the beach and serves up fantastic cocktails and a great aperitivo menu which is a must to try in Italy.

A classic Roman Aperitivo consists of pre-dinner drinks, like prosecco and wines, along with platters of cured Italian meats, cheeses, olives and bread. More often than not, you will be totally full and won’t even need dinner!

Borghese Gallery Art

Art lovers rejoice! The Borghese Gallery is located in a Beautiful Villa house and is bursting at the seams with 15th- to 18th-century artworks by the masterminds of the time; Bernini & Michelangelo as well as Caravaggio.

  Piazza Del Popolo

Close to the Borghese park gardens, Piazza Del Popolo is a grand and beautiful Piazza called ”the peoples square”. Its landmark square is centered by Rome’s oldest obelisk which stands tall at over 72ft.

It features several fountains and three churches- Santa Maria Del Popolo, Santa Maria del Miracoli and Santa Maria in Montesanto.

Often used for outdoor concerts and events, the square is bursting with life and visitors! You can even enjoy a spot of celebrity watching, in the centrally located Caffe Rosati.

Visit Via del Corso for shopping

It is time for my favorite sport; Shopping !! At Via del Corso, which is situated right in the historical center of Rome, you can really indulge in the sport! This area is characterized by narrow meandering alleys and small piazzas.  Because of that, it is ideal for window-shopping and architecture sightseeing too.  Address: Via del Corso, 486 – 487, 00186 Roma RM, Italy  

Via Condotti – for cuture and designer shopping

You will love this busy and fashionable street in Rome, offering the best of all couture shopping in Italy. Wallets at the ready! if you love designer brands or are looking to invest in a timeless piece or two, you will love this. Address: Via Dei Condotti, 61A, 00187 Roma RM, Italy  

  Dinner – Italian Cuisine at its best!

At Angelinas a Testaccio. I left the best for last with this one!

Angelina’s is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Rome, hands down! It was luckily introduced to me by my Italian best friend Sergio, who knows all the hidden authentic spots.

The beautiful terrace restaurant is hidden off the main road, amongst the trees, and has a beautiful vintage design.

But the food here is the real star! The meatballs and carbonara dishes are second to none, and all meat dishes are cooked to perfection! The steak is pretty phenomenal !

THE restaurant to visit in Rome, this place is always busy and early bookings are advised!

Ponte Milvio Neighborhood

Ponte Milvio is a traditional and very local neighborhood in Rome. It is also best known as the site of the ancient Battle of the Milvian Bridge.

Start your day by walking the quaint streets of Ponte Milvio and  The Ponte Milvio bridge which is an Elegant pedestrian footbridge, founded in the 2nd-century BC, & the site of the famous Roman battle of the Milvian Bridge. You will really love the famous bridge with symbols of love and padlocks fastened all along its edge!

The Ponte Miglio area is crawling with bars meaning you will love bar hopping for the night! Check out Jarro for great wine, cocktails, and beers, and Nojo – which specializes in great mixology cocktails.
